IMMERSIVE

Commissioned by USC's Center on Public Diplomacy and Korean Studies Institute, my team of four traveled to South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics to develop various immersive stories. Experimenting with innovative 360 cameras, our objective was to bring viewers as close as possible to subjects such as sports diplomacy, cultural anthropology, and the evolving relationship between North and South Korea.
So far, our work has been published by NPR and USA Today via social media, and article coverage from NBC Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Miami.
Using emerging technologies like videogrammetry, 360 video and augmented reality, our JOVRNALISM team captured oral histories from Leimert Park to share the Los Angeles neighborhood’s rich history. This experiment explored how the new technology could be used for non-fiction storytelling.

I worked in USC's JOVRNALISM team to develop a piece for DiscoverLosAngeles / LA Tourism Board, covering the highlights of the San Pedro area. I edited this immersive tour featuring the historic Point Fermin lighthouse.
